At Ketch Studios we strive to create art through expression, self-understanding, and freedom in both body and mind through a dedicated study of the voice.

Please read this contract thoroughly and sign at the bottom, stating that you accept these terms. Contact me if you have any questions!

Lessons:

• Ketch Studios offers both virtual and in-person lessons. 

• Ketch Studios offers 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons

• Lessons will be scheduled at the same time and day each week.

• Each private lesson will refine and improve vocal technique through vocal and body warm-ups, followed by a rehearsal of music in preparation to meet the student’s goals. The student will often receive specific vocal exercises to practice throughout the week. 

• Parents are welcome to observe lessons, given that they do not become a distraction to the student or the teacher. 

• Voice lessons will be provided after payment is received and the contract is signed.

• The lesson will not be provided if payment has not been received prior to the lesson. The student will still be charged for the reserved time slot that day. 

Cancellations:

• To cancel a lesson, the student must give at least 24 hours notice to the studio. If less than 24 hours notice is given, the student will still be responsible to pay the rate for their reserved lesson time. 

  • Exceptions can be made at the discretion of Ketch Studios in circumstances of extreme illness, accident, or a death in the family.

  • In cases of minor illness, lessons can be given virtually through Skype or Zoom given that proper notice has been received. 

• Lessons canceled with more than 24 hours notice will be rescheduled at a time convenient for both student and teacher at no extra cost to the student. 

• Ketch Studios reserves the right to cancel lessons and will give notice to the student as soon as possible.

• If desired, Ketch Studios or the student can terminate lessons and this contract if 1 week’s notice is given. 

Recitals:

• Recitals will be held in April, August and December each year. All students are expected and required to participate in recitals, as it is a vital part of the learning experience.

• Students will pay the fee for the provided accompanist and attend scheduled rehearsals with said accompanist.

Purchasing Music:

Due to copyright laws, students will be responsible for purchasing their own music to practice at home and build their prospective music libraries. 

Location:

All lessons will be given in person at 1702 West 870 North Pleasant Grove Utah, 84062 unless another location has been agreed upon.  The studio is located in Abby’s home.
